ANANTNAG : A Massive anti poppy cultivation drive was held in various parts of district Anantnag, today under the guidance of DC Anantnag Khalid Jahangir.

Teams headed by Tehsildars of Sallar, Bijbehara, Shangus and Dooru in collaboration with, Excise and Police departments destroyed poppy under cultivation on 130 Kanals of land in their respective Tehsils.

The general public have hailed this initiative of the administration and hoped that such drives would continue in future too.
