Rs 8000 fine collected from erring traders at Awantipora

PULWAMA : A fine of Rs 8000 was collected today from erring traders by the officials during an intensive market checking carried out in various areas of Awantipora.

The inspecting team of officials were from Revenue, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Food Safety, Legal Metrology, Muncipal Committee and Police departments.

The team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak inspected various business establishments, shops and vegetable market in the area.

The team also destroyed about two quintals of rotten vegetables and fruits.
