JAMMU, OCTOBER 17: Sh. Omar Abdullah the leader of the largest political party National Conference and an ally of the India alliance has been sworn in as a Chief Minister of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir along with its  Council of Ministers. The oath ceremony took place  in Srinagar on October 16, 2024. The oath was administered by the Lieutenant Governor Sh. Manoj Sinah.

The litmus test for the newly elected government is to get restore the status of Statehood to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
