
JAMMU, APRIL 15: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and to celebrate Baisakhi festival, a function was organised in the premises of SCERT Divisional Office Jammu here today.

The event was held under the mentorship of Director SCERT, JK Dr. Prakshit Singh Manhas and able guidance of H. R Pakhroo, Joint Director SCERT, Jammu and F. A Fayaz, Joint Director, Move Office. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Amit Bhagat, Staff Secretary (Academic Officer).

On this occasion, many speakers including Arish Kour, Academic Officer, Shazia Kouser, A.O, Deepak Sharma, Sr. A.O., Abha Verma, A.O, Deepak Kumar, A. O, Sunil Sharma, Sr. A.O, Ruchi Mohan, Librarian spoke about the history and origin of Baisakhi festival.

AZADI KA AMRIT CELEBRATIONS IN INDIA
At the same time, they also threw light on the life , family and education of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. His role and contribution to our country as a jurist, social reformer, educationist and politician was also remembered. The programme was attended by Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and faculty of SCERT Jammu.
Swaran Singh Jaral, Professor, Surjit Singh, Professor, N.P.Singh, Associate Professor also spoke on the occasion. The programme ended with a message of brotherhood, love, compassion and empathy towards every human being. The programme was moderated by Amit Bhagat, Staff Secretary SCERT Jammu.
