FILMS DIVISION IS CELEBRATING THE CENTENARY OF LEGENDARY FILM MAKER SATYAJIT RAY

KOLKATA, MAY 1: Films Division is celebrating the Centenary of legendary film maker, Satyajit Ray (1921-1992) by organising  Masterstrokes, an online film festival showcasing  rare documentaries and a television film made by the master film maker alongside  films on him and his oeuvre,  from May 02 to 06, 2020. The films are being showcased on Films Division website and its YouTube  Channel during the period. Some of the acclaimed films being screened include  Inner Eye (on Benode Behari Mukherjee, acclaimed painter), Sadgati (television film based on the short story by Munshi Premchand)and Rabindranath Tagore by Satyajit Ray and  and Satyajit Ray by Shyam Benegal and  Ray by Gautam Ghose.
