Forest Department organises plantation drive

JAMMU : The Forest Department of Kashmir Division today organised a Plantation Drive in collaboration with NGO’s Earth Day Network-India, Wildlife Conservation Fund and Sanctuary Nature Foundation.

During the drive various events were held around the areas of Dal Lake. The drive was also held in Shankaracharya and Hariparbat hills. Students and officials of Forest Department planted various saplings of Conifers trees around the area for its enrichment.

The event was attented by Chief Conservator Forests Kashmir, Farooq Gillani, Conservator of Forests, Srinagar Circle, Irfan Ali Shah, DFO Urban Forestry Riyaz Gul, representatives of NGO’s, teachers and students of various schools besides other officials of the Forest Department
