JAMMU NOVEMBER 13: Managing Director, Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Backward Classes (BC) Development Corporation Limited today discussed non-providing of permits to the beneficiaries of the Corporation with Transport Commissioner Dr. S.P.Vaid.

During the interaction, Transport Commissioner asked the Managing Director to submit a proposal regarding issuance of Route Permits to beneficiaries of the Corporation which shall be taken up with the State Transport Authority. He assured the Managing Director for extending cooperation to minimize the unemployment from the target groups.

The Transport Commissioner was also appraised that SC, ST Development Corporation is providing soft loans to unemployed members of weaker sections of the society to help them set up self-employment ventures. It was also appraised to the Transport Commissioner that besides other activities Corporation is providing loan to the unemployed youths of the target groups under Transport Sector where the beneficiaries can earn handsome income.
