Two day workshop on Digital Agriculture Mission concluded at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi, Srinagar.

SRINAGAR, MARCH 20: The two day workshop on Digital Agriculture Mission concluded today at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi, Srinagar.

The programme was presided over by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal.

Addressing the participants, the Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of digital agriculture and said the use of advanced technologies can play a big role in achieving the socio-economic transformation of the farming community of the region. He said that the digital agriculture mission aims to introduce new and advanced technologies in the field of agriculture by improving crop yields and reducing environmental impact.

Director Agriculture asked the participants to work in close coordination so that the objectives under the said mission could be achieved. He marked the importance of awareness among the farmers regarding the mission for its successful implementation.

Today on the concluding day, various officers/ experts expressed their views on the topic and highlighted different aspects of the digital agriculture mission in the division.

The programme was attended by Joint Director Extension Mohammad Syeed Peer and Officers/ officials of the department.
