Group of Assam youth interacts with Chief Wildlife Warden

JAMMU, MARCH 05: A group of youth from Assam on their visit to Jammu and Kashmir under the programme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” interacted with Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife)/Chief Wildlife Warden J&K. The group of youth from different parts of Assam also visited Manda Zoo.

During interaction, the Chief Wildlife Warden briefed the visitors about forest and wildlife wealth of Jammu and Kashmir, various initiatives taken by the Jammu and Kashmir Govt. for protection and conservation of forests and wildlife, promotion of Eco-tourism and restoration of wetlands. He also mentioned about unique and endemic biodiversity of Jammu and Kashmir.

The visitors shared their experiences with respect to their working in Assam and expectations about their ongoing tour in J&K. The visiting group comprised of students of Engineering, Commerce, Bio-Sciences and Humanities. The group shall be visiting different parts of Jammu and Kashmir during their one week long visit.
