KATHUA, DECEMBER 19: On the inaugural day of the ‘Good Governance Week’ being celebrated with the theme ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’, an array of activities were held across Kathua district today.

The Line Departments including Horticulture, Agriculture, KVIB, Revenue, RDD, Social Welfare and Transport and others held awareness programmes during at the Gram Sabhas and apprised the people about respective schemes and services offered.

Special awareness camp for unemployed youth was organised by the District Employment and Counselling Centre to aware them about the government self-employment generation schemes.

AZADI KA AMRIT CELEBRATIONS IN INDIA

An anti encroachment drive was conducted by revenue department during which around 45 kanal State Land was retrieved in village Sandhar of Tehsil Basohli.

The DIPR Kathua also launched an IEC campaign through social media to generate awareness about different schemes of the government besides highlighting the activities being carried out under the ongoing good governance week.

Pertinently, ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur Abhiyan’ has been launched with the aim to take administration to the doorsteps of the citizens, right upto the villages and to ensure effective, efficient and transparent governance system.
