Leh, Sep 9 : No fresh COVID-19 case was reported from Ladakh, where 11 patients recovered from the infection, taking the overall recoveries so far to 20,347, officials said.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Ladakh stands at 20,593, they said, adding that the number of active cases in the union territory has dipped to 39 — 36 in Leh and three in Kargil district.

Officials said no new Covid case was reported in Ladakh on Wednesday in the union territory.

The death toll due to COVID-19 in Ladakh stands at 207 — 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil, the officials said.

A total of 1,633 sample reports, including 749 from Leh and 884 from Kargil, were found negative, they said.

No Covid-related death was recorded in Ladakh on Wednesday.

The union territory has discharged nine patients after recovery, five from Leh and four patients from Kargil, they said.
