JAMMU, JANUARY 14: The Tawi Lift Irrigation Canal and Ravi Canal would be closed w.e.f. 18.01.2021 for carrying out desilting/urgent repair works and modernization works.

All the concerned Executive Engineers have been directed to take up all the closure works i.e. de-silting of canals, urgent repairs of canals and their network and pumping machinery wherever necessary and ensure completion well before the recharge of canals for coming irrigation season of Kharif crop.

The date of opening of the canals shall be notified separately
