JAMMU, MARCH 16: The delegation of Save Animals Value Environment (SAVE), called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation led by its Senior Vice President Ms Devinder Kaur Madaan urged the Lt Governor for implementation of necessary reforms to improve the condition of street animals and livestock in the UT of J&K.
The delegation also demanded the provision of shelter and ambulance in each district for rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, abused, injured or disabled animals, besides implementation of ‘Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act’ in letter and spirit.
The Lt Governor assured the delegation that their genuine demands would be redressed expeditiously.
