Bijnor (UP), Aug 8: Five persons were killed and three others seriously injured in a crash involving three trucks near Kali temple crossing here, police said on Thursday.

The brakes of a tanker truck failed and it collided with two other trucks on Wednesday night, they said.

Raghuveer (35), Rahul (26), Jani (28), Pramod (28) and an unidentified person were killed in the accident, Circle Officer Arun Kumar said.

The injured were taken to a hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable. A probe is on in the matter, he added.
