50 candidates to contest from PCs of Karimganj, Silchar, Autonomous District, Mangaldoi & Nawgong

8922 polling stations in place for smooth conduct of polls

Assam will go to Second Phase of the 7 phased polls in the state to elect 5 more from Parliament Constituencies of Karimganj, Silchar, Autonomous District, Mangaldoi and Nawgong.

Voters from five Parliamentary Constituencies will cast their ballots on 18th April 2019.

There are 6910592 voters with 3554460 male, 3355952 female and 180 voters in Third Gender category.

50 candidates, including 3 women, 19 Independents and 7 others, will be contesting for 5 Lok Sabha seats.

Number of polling stations in the state is 8992.
