JAMMU FEBRUARY 21- Former MLC of Peoples Democratic Party Syed Asgar Ali and ex revenue officer Qazi Mushtaq Ahmed joined National Conference in presence of the party President Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Welcoming Syed Asgar Ali and Qazi Mushtaq into the party fold, Dr Farooq Abdullah described National Conference as a mass movement that has all along stood for the just cause of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and strived for development and progress of the state with a sense of commitment.
Dr Abdullah hoped that with the joining of Syed Asgar and Qazi Mushtaq the party will be further strengthened at the grass roots level.
“A strong National Conference is a key to steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, progress and development besides meeting the challenges confronted to the state”, he added.
Syed Asgar and Qazi Mushtaq pledged to carry forward the mission of National Conference in transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive state with devotion and dedication.
Besides Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana, those present on the occasion included NC Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, former minister and MLC Mr Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, former MLA Qazi Jalal-ud-Din, District President National Conference Kishtwar Mr Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo besides Mr Israr Khan, Mr Ghulam Rasool Magrey and others.
The National Conference leaders profusely garlanded the new entrants and greeted them on joining the party.
