Cultural Academy event brings together readers, budding writers

JAMMU, JANUARY 8: Sahitya Akademi and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Tuesday organized a literary event with emerging writers of the Kashmir language.

Titled as ‘Mulakat’, the programme was held in KL Saigal Hall of the Academy premises here.

Five budding writers Rubina Mir, Shabir Hussain Shabir, Saba Shaheen and Rinku Koul read out their write-ups to the invited audience.

Dr Aziz Hajini, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and convener Kashmiri Advisory Board of the Sahitya Akademi while welcoming the quests and the writers said that emerging literary scenario in the Kashmiri language has a lot of promise and potential which needs to be explored, identified and projected in a befitting manner to carry forward its rich and vibrant legacy.

A number of writers, poets, cultural activists and students and scholars attended the function and appreciated the write-ups presented by young writers.
