Hyderabad, Jan 6: About 40 girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya here were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning Saturday night, an official said.

Students complained of symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea after eating dinner and taken to various hospitals.

All of them were now out of danger, said divisional revenue officer Hanumanth Reddy Sunday.

“They had been served hot dinner and fruit salad last night. We could not collect food samples as all of it was consumed. We have asked officials to collect stool samples of sick students for clinical examination,” Reddy told PTI.
