The Government is working on probability for use of ropeways and cable-cars in hilly areas and hybrid airboats on rivers.  An MoU has been signed between WAPCOS Limited and Doppelmayr, a World Leader in Ropeways.Initial discussions have been held with Government of Uttarakhand and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. WAPCOS Limited and Ropeways & Rapid transport System Development Corporation, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh have finalised MoU for preparation for DPR & PMC for implementation of Ropeways System for Shimla &Manali Cities.
