JAMMU DECEMBER 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association headed by Shri. D.N Pangotra today successfully conducted a belt promotion test at Brahman Saba, Parade Jammu for the athletes of taekwondo.
More than 50 athletes took part in the Belt Promotion Test which has paved way for some new budding and Upcoming Taekwondo Players to move forward and excel in the field.
The soul motive of conducting the belt promotion test was just to empower youth and female athletes of Jammu District, as sports helps in overall personality development of a Player and when it comes to Taekwondo we mainly focus on the integrity and discipline.
The Jammu and Kashmir taekwondo association which is affiliated with Taekwondo Federation of India is the only association of state which is recognised by state Sports Council.
The promotion test was conducted under the super vision of Mr Zaheer Abbas Khan (international player/ Treasurer JKTA).
Mr. Subhash Shashtri (President MAjdoor Association Jammu) was the Chief Guest on this occasion and Mr. Atul Pangotra (State Awardee/ Referee Chairman TFI) and Mr. Anuj Sharma (org sec. JKTA) were special Guest accompanied by manager Brahman Sabah Mr. Romesh Sharma and Mr. Nisar Hussain (vice president JKTA).
The Chief Guest Told that Taekwondo which helps a player to develop its overall personality should be prioritized as professional sports and players from Jammu will make their name at national and international level like Atul Pangotra.
