Mumbai : A 30-year-old advertising professional allegedly committed suicide at her residence in suburban Santacruz by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, police said Wednesday.

Police suspect that the deceased Bhumika Singh took the extreme step on December 17 due to depression and have ruled out any foul play.

A police official said they have found a suicide note from the spot which is being verified.

The body was spotted by Singh’s husband, who in turn, informed the police.

“An accidental death case has been registered”, said Vakola police station senior inspector Kailash Awhad.

Further investigation is underway.
