Crime Branch arrests fraudster

JAMMU NOVEMBER 10: On a written complaint lodged by one  Rakesh Kumar S/o Gian Chand R/o Janipur Jammu in Crime Branch alleging therein that  one Chotta Lal S/o Faqir Chand R/o 299 Rehari Colony Jammu by forging signature of complainant fraudulently and transferring Vehicle No.JK02AA-5449 (Matador) in the name of complainant with a view to shift the liability to pay the compensation after the said vehicle met with an accident, whereas  the complainant had neither purchased said vehicle from Chotta Lal nor have any connection with vehicle in question, the matter was probed into and it was prima facie established that the vehicle in question was initially purchased by one Ravi Kumar who sold the same to Anil Kumar and later on the said vehicle was purchased by Chotta Lal on 15-09-2008 and the vehicle in question reportedly met with an accident on 04-05-2009 at Rehari Colony Jammu as a result of which one lady sustain serious injuries. As per the record made available by RTO office Jammu the vehicle in question was found transferred and sold by Chotta Lal on 25-02-2009 to Rakesh Kumar complainant fraudulently on the basis of fake/forged signatures of complainant by Chotta Lal with the criminal conspiracy hatched by him in league with his son Narinder Kumer @ Naggi and officers/officials of RTO Jammu and thus causing wrongful gain for himself and wrongful loss to the complainant. In this connection a formal case stands registered at P/S Crime Branch, Jammu. The accused Narinder Kumar was evading his presence and he was arrested by Crime Branch Sleuth on 08.11.2018. The said accused is in custody on police remand and being interrogated regarding commission of offences. The investigation of the case is in progress.
