LEH, NOVEMBER 03: The election process for president and vice-president of Municipal Committee Leh held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Leh Avny Lavsa at DC Conference hall today. All the elected members have unanimously elected Dr Ishey Namgyal for the post of president and Mohammad Deen Khan as vice-president of MCL.

Consequently, Deputy Commissioner Leh has declared both the posts of president and vice-president elected uncontested and unopposed in the presence of all the members. Congratulating both the newly elected heads of MCL, she said that minimum one meeting of MCL is mandatory to hold every month and the date of next meeting of MCL will be called by the president within a set timeframe.

Member Legislative Assembly Nawang Rigzin Jora, Councillor Nimoo Tsering Norboo, former CEC Rigzin Splabar, and supporters in large number were present during the election ceremony.
