BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 23: Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) today organized a day-long award ceremony here wherein Anganwadi workers were felicitated for their services under Aadhaar enrollment of children below 5 years-of-age.

State Mission Director ICDS Veer Ji Hangloo was the chief guest whereas District Project Officer Aashiq Lilly was the guest of honour of the event.

AZADI KA AMRIT CELEBRATIONS IN INDIA
On the occasion, Rs 16.5 lakh were distributed among 20 workers from Baramulla, Kupwara, Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts for their exemplary services towards Aadhaar enrollment. Felicitation certificates were also distributed among them.
On the occasion, the Mission Director applauded the role of Anganwadi workers for their integrated services towards child protection schemes and said that the department will organize similar ceremonies at other levels so that the project is strengthened at the grassroot level. He stressed upon the workers to work with added zeal.
Mission Director specifically hailed Baramulla and Kupwara districts for their tremendous work in Aadhaar enrollment of children adding that these districts being the Aspirational districts have excelled in several indicators envisaged in the programme.
Deputy Director UIDAI, CDPOs, Supervisors, Anganwadi workers and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
