Registrar General, H.C of J&K, Ladakh reviews arrangements for I-Day celebration at Srinagar Wing

Registrar General, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Sanjeev Gupta convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for hoisting of tri-color and other arrangements.

SRINAGAR, JULY 28: In order to celebrate 76th Independence Day with full enthusiasm at High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar Wing, the Registrar General, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Sanjeev Gupta today convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for hoisting of tri-color and other arrangements.

The meeting was attended by DIG Police, Central Kashmir; Additional Commissioner, Kashmir; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar; SSP security, Deputy Director Information, officers of Traffic Police, CRPF, R&B, Hospitality & Protocol, SMC, Health and other departments besides, registrars of different sections of the High Court including Registrar Vigilance Shaheed Azeem and Registrar Judicial Gowher Majid Dalal.

It was informed that the tricolor shall be hoisted by Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Pankaj Mithal.

While assigning roles and responsibilities to officers regarding celebration of 76th Independence Day, Registrar General directed CRPF to make arrangements for hoisting of National flag over the mast and reception of Chief Guest.

The J&K Police was assigned responsibility to present guard of honor to the Chief Guest, besides being asked to make arrangements for the band contingent.

The Deputy Director, Information & PR department, Bilal Mukhtar informed the meeting that the department will make arrangements for media coverage and installation of Public Address System. Similarly, R&B was asked to make seating and shamiana arrangements.

Also, the Joint Commissioner, SMC was asked to conduct sanitation drives and grass cutting ahead of August 15 besides being told to keep a team for dog catching available.

Moreover, Traffic Police was instructed to chalk out a plan for parking of vehicles of Judges, Judicial officers, advocates and other invitees.

Besides, the Registrar general called for fool proof security of venue and periphery and asked all the concerned departments to share the list of guests, staff, media persons and invitees in advance with Police to ensure their hassle free entry to the venue.

Also, CMO Srinagar was instructed to ensure medical facility and critical ambulance available at the venue while Deputy Director, Hospitality and Protocol was directed to make arrangements for refreshment for all the participants.
