JAMMU, NOVEMBER 05: Director of Agriculture, Jammu, K. K. Sharma today underlined the need for mass promotion of Agriculture Mechanization for bringing about another agriculture revolution by enhancing production and productivity of food and non-food crops. He was addressing the officers and workers at Government Agriculture Workshop, Jammu during the celebration of Vishwakarma Day.

A Puja congregation of Bhagwan Vishwakarma Puja was oganised by Director AP & FW, Jammu and others at Seed Processing Unit, and Government Agriculture Workshop, Talab Tillo, Jammu.

Special worship of tools and machines with special prayers for safety of the operators and workers was done followed by distribution of Prasad.

After the function, the Director along with a team of officers had a round of Seed Processing Unit where cleaning and grading of different seeds is being done by machines. Besides interacting with the workers of Government Agriculture Workshop, he also inspected the machines installed there like Sheet Cutting Machine, Sheet Bending Machine, Beading Machine, Power Hammers, Sheet Rolling Machines, Swaging machines etc.

Vishwakarma Puja was also held at Seed Multiplication Farm Chinore and Seed Multiplication Farm Chakrohi.

Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu, S. A. S. Reen, ARE, Kuldeep Dhar, Assistant Agriculture Engineer, A. H. Saleria, SMS III, Rajeev Mangotra and other senior officers and workers of the department also attended the programme.
