SAMBA : Around o Kanal prime land was today retrieved during an anti – encroachment drive carried out at village Katwalta, Purmandal.
A number of illegal occupants over the 20 kanal land of river Devak near cremation ground Mandal, were evicted.
During the anti – encroachment drive, the team headed by Sub – Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Kumar Sharma along with other revenue staff and local police reached the spot and pressed into service a J.C.B to clear the illegal occupancy and after a two hours long exercise the land was formally handed over to the local community.
The local community members said that the land was encroached upon for last more than 10-15 years and they had recently sought an intervention from District Magistrate Samba into the matter. Later, Local expressed their satisfaction for prompt redressal of their grievance.
