Sant Kabir’s philosophy on social justice relevant now than ever before: Rana

NAGROTA NOVEMBER 24- National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana on Saturday emphasized the relevance of the philosophy of Sant Kabir in the present times of hate and intolerance, saying promoting the cause of the humanity and adopting the righteous way to fight for social justice is what social justice really is.

“The philosophy in verse of the great Saint will continue to guide humanity and help overcome the malice of hate, as also build a harmonious society based on equality, love and compassion”, Mr Rana said while addressing Kabir Vandana Satsang held in Nagrota Assembly Constituency.

The highlight of the spiritual discourse was the Provachan of Sant Sudershanji Maharaj.

Mr Rana said Sant Kabir has blessed the humanity with eternal message of peace, love and tranquility and those following these teachings would never do injustice to others and work for just society based on equality. The best way of remembering the greatest Bhakti poet is to take a pledge to tread the path shown by him and work for the growth of tolerant society where people, irrespective of caste, creed or colour live a dignified life based on the well defined principles of humanity.

The Provincial President said that great saints and sages have blessed humanity with their eternal messages of peace, harmony, love and compassion that has helped the society to steer to light from dark tunnel of ignorance and selfishness. He called for emulating the message of Sant Kabir in letter and spirit, as the very secular ethos of the nation and the state is in peril. “We have to overcome all these challenges and strive for a better world to live in”, he added.

Lauding Sant Sudershanji Maharaj for his relentless efforts in promoting peace and tranquility, Mr Rana said that he was highly impressed by the efforts being made to build a harmonious society by spreading the eternal message of equality and social justice.

In his discourse during the congregation, Sant Sudershanji Maharaj threw light on different facets of Sant Kabir and made a fervent appeal to people to act upon and spread the message of love, peace and compassion, which was the high point of the great Sant.

“The path shown by Kabirji has helped the society to eschew the tendencies of hatred and intolerance”, he said and added this will continue to inspire generations.

Sant Sudershan ji Maharaj made a special reference to various evils inflicted to the society and stressed the need for imparting values among the youngsters.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included National Conference leader Th. Kashmira Singh besides  Joginder Lal, Ram Ditta, Rupali, Des Raj , Naseeb Chand, Ram Lal, Geeta Devi, Srishta Devi and others.
