Intelligence Official Warns Of More Attacks After BJP Leader Killed In Kishtwar

Srinagar November 5: The killing of two BJP leaders in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kishtwar raises more tension, agencies have degenerated more threats to various stations in the region.
It is believed that  at least three potential targets that are on terror radar, according to the intelligence reports accessed by Times Now , a national news channel.

The report has revealed a threat to the Block Development Office in Tanmarg where the returning officer of the Panchayat polls has set shop. No particular group is mentioned in the report but a threat seems forth coming in order to give an obstruction to the polling process in the region. As Panchayat election are coming, more such attacks are suspected.

According to National News channel, “there might be a threat to a police station in Qazigund by Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Muzaffar Ahmed Bhat from Sopat and two others.

“A water pump near Kurigal is also a potential target as many policemen visit the installation for supplies. The security forces have been alerted of threats not only to security forces but also officials who were involved in the polling process.” Quoted Times Now

Meanwhile, BJP’s state secretary, Anil Parihar, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Thursday night. Parihar’s brother Ajeet Kumar Parihar was also killed in the attack that took place in the Kishtwar town located in Jammu region’s Kishtwar district. BJP leaders said the duo was killed by terrorists. BJP alleged that both of them were shot by terrorists. The police, however, did not confirm if the attack was carried out by terrorists. The Army was later called to maintain law and order in the town.

However, many police personnel were abducted and subsequently killed by militants in the past few months.
