KULGAM, OCTOBER 20: The District administration Kulgam in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Kulgam organized a day-long mega legal services-cum-awareness camp here.

The event was jointly inaugurated by Principal and District Session Judge Kishore Kumar and District Development Commissioner Dr Shamin Ahmad Wani.

On the occasion, DDC said that the objective of organizing such camps is to impart awareness among general people about various state/ central schemes of government. He also thanked people for massive participation and taking a keen interest in the development programmes.

Later, Principal and District Session Judge along with the DDC inspected the informative stalls set up by the district line departments and enquired about the criteria and facilitates being provided to the beneficiaries.

The departments including, Labour, Social Welfare, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Industries Department, Horticulture, Agriculture, Handloom, RDD, and other concerned departments had set up their stalls.

On the occasion, cheques worth Rs 8.39lakh were distributed by Labour and Social Welfare departments distributed 38 toolkits among plumbers whereas Horticulture department distributed 100 spray motors and 6 Tillers among beneficiaries. Sheep Husbandry distributed 87 blankets among chopans and sanction letters were also distributed.

ADC, ACR, and other concerned from district administration were present besides lawyers and officials of the judiciary were also present.
